It is a special chamber music collection for especially curious and selective listeners. We will explore the abilities of cello in solo, duo and trio contexts.

The master of experiments A. Lukoszevieze (United Kingdom), interested in Fluxus movement, improvisations and avant-garde, remains loyal to this direction and presents his audiovisual performance.

The role of the duo is mostly explored in the classic combination of cello and piano. R. Kalnėnaitė and D. Stulgytė will combine J. S. Bach with A. Piazzola, Armonas USS Duo will present the finest Lithuanian composers’ pieces, filled with the local flair whilst Duo Urba together with the works of C. Saint Saëns and S. Rachmaninov will surprise us by performing the rarely heard A. Schnittke‘s piece. The programme of Guarneri Cello Duet that consists of two cellos will reveal the instrumental dialogue in the works of F. Chopin, A. Geringas, N. Paganini and others.

Music written for trios will be performed by Ensemble Schönbrunn Amsterdam. Here the cello instrument together with the flute and harpsichord will aim to transform the image of J. S. Bach’s music, demonstrating the authentic ancient music performance style that deeply interest contemporary audiences world-wide.
