Festival evenings are dedicated to special concerts, holding the exquisite view on the classical and contemporary music.
Is it likely to hear the original works written by the performers themselves?
On Monday the cello virtuoso Giovanni Solima will prove that the classical music stage is able to leave space for the original performer‘s pieces.
Tuesday aims to reveal the real spirit of the Baroque, where the works of this period come to life once the authentic Baroque cellos start playing.
On Wednesday a unique Justė Janulytė‘s project takes us to the world of contemporary music sounds and sights in which the four cellists are trapped, aiming to draw the listeners in together with them.
What is the relation between the A. Vivaldi‘s “The Four Seasons“, contemporary dance and cello? On Thursday Padi Dapi Fish and Klaipėda Cello Quartet will break the classical music stereotypes.
On Friday listeners will have an opportunity to check whether the orchestra conducted by David Geringas actually consists of 100 cellists.
On Saturday the grand finale of the Evening Concerts promises a great spectacle of the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Modestas Pitrėnas, and cello soloists David Geringas, Karine Georgian as well as Boris Andrianov.
