Prizewinners and diploma holders of the International Klaipėda Cello Competition will be announced and prizes awarded by the Jury after the final concert that same evening on 10 May 2019.
Total cash prize fund: € 19,400.
Other prizes:
- A fine contemporary cello case (sponsored by the Klaipėda State Seaport Authority);
- One concerto performance with the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra at the Klaipėda Concert Hall as part of its regular concert season 2020 / 2021;
- An invitation to join the Jury of the 3rd International Klaipėda Cello Competition;
- One concerto performance with the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra as part of its regular concert season 2020 / 2021 (awarded by the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra);
- An invitation to visit the Villa Casals Museum in Sant Salvador, Spain (awarded by Fundació Pau Casals);
- A diploma for the best performance of contemporary work Narcissus by Arvydas Malcys;
- A diploma for the public’s favourite competitor.
Please note: The organizers of the competition reserve the right to substitute any prize in the Other prizes section with a different prize of equal or greater value.
