This concert is dedicated to honoring the laureates of the 4th International Klaipėda David Geringas Cello Competition. Not only will the top-rated cellists receive awards, but they will also have the opportunity to perform alongside Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Vilnius-based maestro Martynas Staškus.

The awards ceremony marks a grand and emotional moment in the competition, followed by a laureates’ concert – the culmination of intense work by both the performers and the jury. The participants competed in two categories: youth and professional. The finest cellists, including students and young professionals from Lithuania and abroad, will present the most exquisite pieces from their programmes, showcasing the mastery and artistry which captivated the jury members.

Finally, the programme will feature a performance by the Travelling Cellos Orchestra: an ensemble of outstanding young Lithuanian cellists from various music and arts schools, exclusively assembled for the festival. Joined by international festival guests, they will present a special festival anthem composed by Tadas Petrulis.
