Balkan melodies, wild rhythms, and breathtaking throat singing—this is what Violons Barbares promises. The trio consists of Dandarvaanchig Enkhjargal, who brings the spirit of the Mongolian steppes to life through overtone singing and the traditional Mongolian fiddle, morin khuur; Dimitar Gougov, who plays the Bulgarian gadulka, an instrument with three melodic strings and eleven resonating ones; and Fabien Guyot, a French percussionist who masters a vast array of percussion instruments from around the world. Violons Barbares is a trio of virtuosos who lead listeners into musical realms they never knew existed. Their music creates fantastic sonic landscapes—wild and intoxicating—and invites audiences to dive in with open eyes, ears, minds, and hearts!
